Default fuel problem

86 dodge 4x4 with a 360 2 barrel carb. Truck runs for 10 minutes and quits. Poor gas in the carb and it runs. Fuel line going into the carb has lots fuel pumping out of it. Have put a new fuel pump on. Is there filter or something in the carb to check?

Moved the thread for you.

On a vehicle so old, there likely will not be a filter in the tank. It would be an inline filter just before it goes in the carb.

If you can pour fuel down the engine or use starting fluid, then everything is good as far as fuel, spark, timing, Ect.

When you way can pump it (the carb) and lots of fuel comes out, can you do this while it is running? How much fuel is in the tank and how old is it?

Maybe the float bowl is going empty. The float controls the level, so maybe the float itself has gone south or is stuck.
