AC Problem 88 D100
Switched over the system from the manuf R12 refrigerant to R13. After about 2 months of running, the AC has stopped being cool. The condencer operates cold with quite a bit of condensation as does the line out to the blower. The line into the condenser from the compresser is warm. When I look into the sight glass, it looks like a green foam...not clear.
My buddy at the local Dodge garage thinks my lines are gummed up with left over R12 where it wasn't properly discharged before the R13 modifications occured. Any ideas???? Thanks for the advice |
I think your buddy is likely right on this one.
They can't just be changed over, they have to be flushed out and re-oiled with the R134-compatible oil. |
after driving chrysler cars / trucks for 48 years, there is ONE thing you can depend on, there AC hoses WILL leek often. i have not had a A/C system working for years in protest to dupont, and chrysler..
