Default Help finding fuel pump assembly 90' w150

I need a fuel pump assembly for a 1990 w150. The plug on top leaks water and shorts out the pump. Any advice on swapping the tank out for the next gen (91+) or how to get a hold of another one would be greatly appreciated. Part is seemingly discontinued. I would buy one from someone on this forum also if you have access.

Will a fuel pump module out of an 88 work as a swap?

I believe that should, as long as the tank size is the same. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they changed the sender design until '91.

Sorry I can't give you a definite yes or no; I've never owned an '88 or a '90 so I'm just going on memory from when I worked a parts counter.
