Got an 88 d350 the starter clicks but wont turn over. Its a new starter and the starter switch on the fender was just replaced what could be the issue

If you hit the key more than once does it just click every time, or does it eventually catch and go?

Have you tried jumping it with another car? The battery itself might be too weak to turn the starter over, but it'd still run things like the radio or the dash lights, door buzzer, etc.

Check the ground cable (runs from the block to the battery, typically) for any damage or corrosion, since a bad ground won't let it turn over.

Another option is to try running a jumper from the starter terminal to the positive terminal on the battery. You can use your jumper cables for it. Clamp on to the positive terminal on the battery, turn the key to 'run' and touch the other end of the jumper to the starter terminal. If it starts, you've got a bad neutral safety switch (or a clutch switch if it's a manual). This is what I'm leaning towards for a cause, to be honest. If everything else is good this is a pretty common cause of a no-start.

That's a bummer. Have you tried running a jumper wire from the battery directly to the starter to see if that'll spin it?
