Looking to modify front suspension of my 1988 D100 to that of a 1988 D150 so that I can incorporate a sway bar. Looking to have more control out of the front-end and less lean. Since I was planning to rebuild the D100's suspension with stock components anyway, is it just as simple to obtain the D150 parts and install them on my D100 to achieve this?

The parts should swap easy off any D100-350 truck. Just gotta find a donor.

 

There's really no difference between them. Some D150s had 1 extra rear leaf vs a D 150. A sway bar or lack of has nothing to do with d 100/150. I've seen versions of both either way.
