I'm looking at purchasing another '89 D150 with a 318 and 4 speed overdrive automatic trans. I don't know anything about these trannys nor seen too many of them in these year models so I'm trying to get any and all info I can about them. Are they decent? The truck has seen some use; it's a farm truck and has seen a fair share of hauling during it's lifetime. It runs and drives great and doesn't seem to have any problems. It is an LE model with power everything and 8' bed. Don't know exactly how many miles it has, but it's under 150,000 on the original drivetrain. I'm just looking for some helpful info about it since all I'm used to is a 3 speed (727). Thanks for any input!!!!
