My oil pressure gauge stopped working on my 1988 Dodge Ram with a 318.Does anybody know where the sending unit is on the block? Thanks in advance.

 

Well, as far as the '88 model is concerned, I couldn't tell you. However, on the '96 318, it is on the rear of the block, to the right (passenger side) of the distributor. I would assume it would be in the same place, however.

 

Same place on my 86 360

it's actually a 79 block though.


but yeah, back behind the coil, by the distributor. Mine went wonky so I just put a mechanical guage in.

 

ya i got an 88 dodge ram 318 and the sending units next to the distributor on the passenger side. im rebuildin this thing and i was wondering if you had any pulley diagrams you could send me because i dont have the book for it and there aren't any diagrams under the hood
