Goodbye & thanks
My Dakota is now in the hands of a dealer probably heading for auction. Traded it in on Monday for a new truck. It was still a good vehicle and will be missed. I bought it new in 97 and most of the issues I had were caused by a poor dealership service dept., the dealership is no longer in business. I wonder why?
Probably won't be around the forum any more since there are not any Dakotas in the family any more. Mine was the last hold out and we had a good 16 years of service out of her. She was still a great running vehicle with a good body, white Dakota Sport Extended Cab with red decals. Great 318 engine and the automatic transmission still shifted strong. The interior was still like brand new, I always kept the seats covered. I would be lying if I said I won't miss her. I took extremely good care of her, someone will get a good truck. Thanks to everyone for the help and shared information in the past. Good luck with your Dakotas! Ron |
Good luck in the future Ron.

I may still cruise the forum once in a while.
I got a deal on a black 2013 Silverado Z71 4x4 Extended Cab that I couldn't pass up. I sure wish I knew where my old Dakota will wind up, I hope someone takes as good of care of her as I did. My gut tells me a kid will trash her though, a shame, she doesn't deserve that. |
Nice! My buddy's dad has a 2012 gmc with the 6.2 in it and it's a nice truck pretty quick too.

Not sure how to post pics. My Dakota has already sold at the dealer, they kept her after all. Looked great they didn't do much to her except a little polish and tire shine. Someone got a nice truck, hope they take care of her.

I upload pics to photobucket and post the img code here
