QC rubber isolated counter weight at rear behind bumper?

What is it for? It seems like its to counter some type of resonance but a quick search poped up nothing.

Well I got a lot of views but no info. Lets try this. Can any of you non-QC guys look under the bumper and see if you have this? Im guessing is a QC only thing.

Yes, it's a damper. Designed to reduce specific vibrations, so the cab is quieter. Most of the newer trucks have them as well, in various places.

So is this a QC only thing or 2001 up? Do you have a regular cab and does yours have one?

That, I don't know. I drive a full-sized truck, but, I have seen those fellers on a selection of newer trucks, and read a few articles in various magazines on why they are there.
