hi I installed a bulldog RS 700 yesterday, all seemed to go according to the instructions.

Wiring:

12v constant - Pink/Black & Red
Starter - Blue/Yellow (according to the sheet I printed from the BD site) Mine is actually solid yellow
Ignition 1 - Blue
Ignition 2 - Green/Red
ACC - Black/Orange
Brake - White/Tan


I wired it all up and it works fine, starts the truck no probs, but when I started it for the first time with the remote, the C/E light came on. After searching the forums I found out how to reset the pcm, and did so. The light went away, but then came back the next time I started the truck with the remote. So back to the forums I came and found out how to get the code displayed without a obd2 code reader, did so and the code is o123.

Anyone else had this problem, and if so how did you correct it? I'm at my whits end with this, I've already read the other topics by Rakaric and rtkota5point9. And I can assure my truck is a 00 and has a yellow starter crank wire.

 

P0123 (M) Throttle Position Sensor Voltage High Throttle position sensor input above the maximum acceptable voltage.
P0123 (M) Accelerator Position Sensor (APPS) Signal Voltage Too High APPS voltage input above the maximum acceptable voltage.

 

Sorry I must not have mentioned that I know what the code means, what I don't know is what exactly in the RS 700 is causing it and how to fix it.

 

ya need a relay...
