lowering an R/T

ok, i decided to lower the dak. i still wanna hook better but dont wanna dump a fortune into a 4 link so i decided on caltracs. now, i have questions, anyone lowered a dak R/T(User)?? i found a couple kits that sat 2001 Dakota Lowering kit (except 5.9 RT)... LAME. i wonder why? also, will caltracs work with a lowered dak? how do you do lowering blocks on a RT? anyone got pics (user)? springs are easy, i even have a spring compressor, but would arms be better? do you have to do arms AND springs then or just the arms? what about height? how much should i lower her? keep in mind its already lowered a tad from the factory being an RT. thanks guys.

batman knows alot about this stuff, I would say dont go any lower than a 3/3 drop.

for an R/T i would probably go with 2" arms and 1" progressive rate springs in the front
you dont have to do both, but for ride quality thats what i would do.
i would use 3-4" drop shackles in the rear,

caltracs hang, probably 2 inches below the frame if i remember all proper and ****, so the 3" shackles would work fine, you may still need to take speed bumps at angles
