2.5 won't start
My son has a 97 mid size dakota with a 2.5, he was going down the road
and the truck just stopped running . Has spark and is getting gas, looking for ideas. Could it be the crank sensor , maybe timing gears. Hoping someone else has had the same probelm. thanks Jim Rogers deputychief301 |
first, welcome.
second, not on a Dakota, but my friends jeep with that motor did just that. it was the crank position sensor. hopefully thats it. really not that hard to do. |
not likely to be timing, id go with Crank position sensor like rt said
|
If it's the crank sensor there would be no spark, or there would be a faulty one where it would spark on the wrong times. I had one do that didn't run to well lol. Maybe some weird things. I would check it anyways but it's an expensive little sensor...

thats right...
