Stiffer leaf springs.

So today at work I was loading up salt bags in the bed. About 10 bags in... the rear of the truck sagged so much. Probably almost 50% at that point. Soooo...I was looking for stiffer leaf springs....and so I found this:

Any input?

probably better off with add a leaf

Rakaric 01-13-2009 06:32 PM

heh well I just figured might as well take those decade old rusted things out. Plus I should be getting 600 bucks back from krcperformance for headers so the price matters nothing to me.

how much did each bag weigh? im guessing 40-50 pounds... hell whenever i throw my 400ex into my bed, rear squats. id personally go with add-a-leaf. proven reliability pretty much. not liking that road master set up so much.

why not just go with air suspension helpers?

Yeah or what about the SuperSprings, heard they work pretty good.

sounds like your springs are worn out...

rofl. Well anyway...another thing. I actually have 2 leaf springs sitting in my garage that was stock for an r/t. Besides the fact that the r/t is under the axle, is there any difference in load capacity?

i got 750lbs of sand in there right now. and i live not too far from you if your location is still the same. it handles it, its not happy by any means but whatever its a truck. also, my gas milage with the sand is hovering around 7. http://smilies.vidahost.com/contrib/dvv/boom.gif
