Couple quick questions.

00 4.7L

1. Is there a resonator after the muffler or before the muffler in the exhaust system? Or is there no resonator?

2. What is the stock pipe size?

3. Anybody have a flowmaster part number for a 40 series that is an almost direct fit? Like cut out the stock muffler weld (Or clamp) in the flowmaster?

i dont think your going to find a direct fit flowmaster your going to have to put a patch pipe in there i belive the stock pipe size is 2.5 but i may be rong

I don't mind if I have to extend the pipe or anything. That''s no problem.

I was more thinking along the lines of whatever the factory system is. Like center in off-set out or whatever. If I have to put a 6" extended pipe on I don't care.

Loudpedal, Magnaflow is nice. I love them. But I'm really itching for a Flowmaster on this truck. I've wanted a 40 series for awhile, and I've also used Magnaflow in the past. I'm just doing something different this time.

Does anyone know which 40 series flows the best but has that same classic sound? Is it the 40 delta flow or the super 40 or something? I can't remember..

are you planning on haveing a "stock" look with just a different muffler? if so, thats boring, throw some tips on there and make it look good at least... JMHO

sell you my blowmaster for 50 bucks....im sure its a delta 40

the super 40 used to be the one with the most flow but now the newer super 44 is supposed to have more flow and more tone to it.

I'll get back to ya loudpedal on that muffler. Think you could give me some measurements (Pipe size, length) and a pic or two of it?

I just listened to Flowmaster's sounds clips and I think the delta 40 is the sound I want.
