RE: Will 20's fit

265/55R 20's will fit fine if your original tire size was 265/70R 16, and you don't lower it.
You don't provide any baseline info, so I can't really give you a straight answer.
Helpful baseline info is stuff like:
1. original tire size.
2. 4x4 or 2x4.
3. what size tires do you want to put on it.
4. what offset/backspacing the 20" rims will have.

RE: Will 20's fit

the original tire size is p265/65/16 its a 2x4. i want to put 245/45/20 and the offset is 30. I ordered a 2/4 inch drop. I dont mind 18 inch wheels. in that case the tire size would be 245/45/18. But i heard that you cant get wide tires that they stick out to much. . . Its actually really frustrating to get damn rims for this truck

Which 18's do you have and who makes them. I just got off the phone with Helo and they told me that only the SPEC's and the EXPLODE will fit from them and they are 18's too. I am looking for some new chrome and I have to start all over now that I found out the HELO MAXX 6 's don't work. They told me that the Dakota was the only vehicle produced with a 6x114.3 until 2004 and not many wheels are made for this pattern. Now 2005's are different and the only one using 6x114.3 is Nissan. Seems that maybe Nissan bought the left over Hubs and axels from the Dakotas cause NOW only the Titan has this lug spacing/pattern.

RE: Will 20's fit

There is a lot of people with R/T's using the Hotchkis TVS Suspension (2"/4" drop) and 20" rims. The OEM R/T tire is 255/55-17 which is 28" in diameter. I use 255/35-20's on my truck (27.1" diameter) because I wanted to be absolutely sure that they would never rub, but many other people are using 275/35-20's.

FYI - I did some research and posted a big list of manufacturers which listed wheels available in the 6 on 4.5/6x114.3mm bolt pattern of the 92-04 Dakota/98-03 Durango.
