Default Noise between motor and tranny...

Okay, Removed the flex plate It had a crack so I replaced it put everything back together and there is still a noise between the transmission and motor.

I ruled out the flex plate and torque converter. Noise occurs in park too. Everything seemed to turn smooth too when it was out. And noise kind of comes and goes and sounds more like a squeal. I checked the engine oil for fillings, thought maybe bad crank bearing nope no fillings. No oil leaking out of the rear seal. No oil from anywhere. The noise just happened one day, from the next went to start it up and hear a ticking noise which im sure was the flex plate now I got a squeal any ideas?

IL try and get a video but it is FOR Sure coming from inbetween the tranny and motor. I am totally stumped on this one.

Cut the oil filter open didn't find any metal shavings ect.... Oil is a little dirty but change is coming as soon as I take the intake off.

Not sure if it's actually wobbling looks kind of like it is but not sure... Nothing is hitting though. It maybe the bolts that make it look like that.

Here is the starter removed...

Starter out is that normal wear? Is this how the gear should look?

It has a kind of "tinny" sound if I am hearing it correctly. Are you sure that its not coming from the front the front of the engine and just carrying back there? The only thing back there that might be making that kind of noise would be a lead bearing in the tranny.

Also, what you are seeing in the flex plate is either the bolts, holes or combination of both. It doesn't look like it is wobbling to me.

The starter looks to me like it has maybe not quite disengaged a few times...or it was bumped while the engine was running.

I used a stethoscope against the block with one of the metal end styles on the block metal pan ect.. didn't hear it but as soon as I put it on the tranny bell housing I heard it. Also used it as an open end, and put it between there and it got loud. Could a bearing really make a noise like that?

Were there shims on your starter?

Did you look over the flex plate and transmission case for rubbing marks?
