Without going into detail about the measuring system, I'll just tell you that the 275 60 15 is a 28 inch diameter tire and 10.83 inches wide. The 235 75 15 is a 28.88 inch diameter tire and 9.25 inches wide. As long as you haven't lowered your truck, and have factory size wheels, it will fit. Just be aware that the new tire is much narrower and a little taller.

i dont think 275/60-15 is really your stock size. im told there is a tag in the glove box that will say.

the tag is in the door frame, drivers side.
dakotas came with 3 stock size options
i have 215/75R15s on mine (snow), stock size

a narrow tire is better for snow btw, so dont let that throw you off

So what actually is the stock size tire for a 2nd gen Dakota? The tires that came on mine say 32x11.5x15. Stock 15" rims obviously, but is 32" larger than stock? Was this size an option or is this something aftermarket that was done by the last owner?

tags can lie, the tags are factory numbers, but the optional tires i believe were installed at the dealerships,

31x10.5r15 is the largest optional size

yea the tag on my door frame is way wrong, it says all the bone stock stuff, my truck came with 255/65 tires on the 16x8 rims which was a option wouldn't decoding the vin tell you exactly what you have as far as options?

yea, you can get a build sheet that shows how your truck was put together pretty much, shows tires size, alternator output, everything you'd want to know
