Default Transmission Slip...

My '01 dakota 4x4, 4.7L transmission has started to slip in the 2nd to 3rd gear.
I do not haul heavy loads. In the haynes manual it suggests to adjust the band as part of the maintenance schedule. The oil is clean and normal. Would adjusting the band be a good idea?

My tranny doesnt have the band adjustment. Turns out, it had debris in the torque converter. Flushed out tranny and replaced with new filter. Running good again.
