Heater core replace 2001 Dakota
 

I am researching replacing heater core in a 2001 Dakota 5.9 4 x 4.
Cost of core between 2000 and 2001 is huge. Are they the same? Will 2000 core work in 2001. Anyone out there set them side by side or tried using 2000 core in a 2001 Dakota?
I feel like someone is ripping people off.
