welcome back, what happened to your dakota??

 

I've seen this before. I think it's cool that someone actually took the time and put in the effort to do it but I don't really like it that much. The Dak just isn't big enough to look good with a 3rd axle. But to each his own.

and thanks ha. oh and about my dakota, i fell asleep at the wheel and hit a tree going around fifty. i wasnt wearing a seat belt so i hit my head and blacked out i woke up to people trying to break my window to get me and my truck on fire. wasnt a pretty sight. after that i had a 06 ram for awhile (here's a youtube video of it) so i was in the ram section for a while. then i traded the ram (it had the 4.7 and with my lead foot got likr 10-12 mpg) so i got a chevy colorado. (WORST MISTAKE EVER!! NEVER GET ONE!!) never giving chevy a chance again. it has been in and out of the shop more times than i can count with the fingers on my hands. and its only a 2005 with 48k miles. -_- so i want to get a dakota again but i would be loosing wayyy to much money to trade or sell the colorado right now so hopefully buy the end on next summer i will be getting another dakota

 

That sucks! thats crazy that you got out of there okay though. If I ever get a ram, I'm gettin a hemi. Was your colorado a 5 cylinder? I've heard bad things about those trucks.

 

thanks man, and yeah i wish i would have gotten the hemi too, i was a little surprised and pissed when i found out the day after i got the truck that you get more power and mpg with the 5.7 anyways, yes its the 5 cylinder it has all power-train options besides z-71 (which wasnt avil. on the 2005 quad cabs) has 4x4 and 3.73 gears. 4x4 is useless, sits lower/has smaller tires than my stock 2wd dakota did. any kind of exhaust other than stock sounds absolutely awful and my god i thought it was tough to find lift kits for the dakota its soooo much worse on the colorado. they make a bigger lift kit for the 2wd! wtf is up with that? biggest lift kit i have seen for 4x4 is 4 inches and doesnt even fit 33s with out rubbing and runs for like $1200 -_-

 

The ram is the only time the 6x6 looks good on a normal truck. Yes the 4.7's in rams suck!! My buddy got ripped for one a month back same options as our 07 ram only ours has the hemi. He paid 24k out the door with 40k we got our 07 2 years ago with 13k and paid 22k out the door. He flipped when he found out how much we paid for ours. Also for the fact we get 2mpg more and like 100 hp lol

 

I think Im going to have to go test drive this!!!!!

but my god, cut the muffler off the 4.7 ram and it sounds like nascar.

 

Yeah my buddy did that he liked it but I didnt think it sounded too good almost like he was just running headers. My brother in law has a dynomax exhuast on his hemi and it sounds freaking awesome. Only problem is when hauling the camper you have to almost yell to talk to someone in the cab lol
