Default Quad Cab owners and fitting in the garage

I am buying a 2001 quad cab here soon and also moving out in the next couple of months into a town home. I want to find a place with a garage that will fit my truck but not sure how hard that is to find. Anyone have issues with their trucks fitting in the garage? Just curious I measured tonight and it's a good foot and a half to 2 feet longer than my Jeep and only 10" shorter than my dad's 04 quad cab short box ram.

Just curious, thanks!

A garage as in a residential one? Or are you talking about underground parking?

It all depends on the garage really.

I can fit my reg cab 6'5 box in my garage comfortably with my grand prix in there as well. About 3-4 ft behind the truck, 2 ft from the wall, and about 5 ft in between vehicles.

When my house was being built I requested it to be 3 feet wider on each side though.

Hahaha yeeeeaaaah might not like the end result of that last one. Not it is a town home and I am sure the garages are pretty small. Not sure going to look at some sunday and didn't know how big they usually made the garages. If there was a set standard.. Hoping it will fit I just didn't know if there was a standard for most town homes.

My dad's super crew cab F150 fits easily in our garage but it's probably bigger than a town home's garage will be.

Yeah I am going to a couple places tomorrow and gonna measure the garages. My dad's 04 3/4 ton quad cab ram fits in his but he had the garage made 2 feet deeper than standard and we measured and his truck is only 20" longer than mine. All comes down to tomorrow haha

Good Idea, have a friend that could park a fleet in, his neighbor has a garage thats useless. Good thing you are thinking ahead. Then there is this guy that has Limos, that built an extension that he drives just about all of the hood and fenders into to park overnight, talk about tight!

I used to delive papers and people around here would leave their garage doors open and I saw a few dakota quad cabs in town home garages, but that was about all that fit in there.

Thanks guys! Just went to look at a couple places today and according to measurements it will fit just fine! The place I got my sights on has a good foot and a half to spare with the truck in so room for tools and parts
