does front diff. need limited slip additive?

Hi, I recently changed the rear differential fluid in my 98 Dakota 4x4 and put limited slip additive in it, my question is does the front axle require the additive?

No the front is not an LSD differential.

Only the rear.

ill be honest with you i dont add any thing to eather front or rear on my 97. and i have a limited slip. i think its personal pref honestly because our front diff matcher the chevys and they dont use additives and either does any other limited slip rear end

Chevy limited-slip diffs use an additive, as does any clutch-type limited-slip I'm aware of. Don't be surprised if you find your clutches in little pieces one day.

+1. ANY LSD should have the additive. It does not vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
