That is a little over 3/4 ton.
800 Liters = 1 763.668 430 3 Pounds
2000 lbs = 1 ton

How did it pull?

I think the most I've ever had in mine was about a 3/4 yard of Granular A. Weighs an estimated 1300-1400 lbs.

She sagged a lot boys lemme tell ya.

The 3.9 didn't have a problem at all, though stopping was a different story.

It hauled but was a slow and easy process.

Here's my two with 1,000 pounds of wood pellets each in them:

Now obviously the red '99 has them laid out and distributed under the bed cover while the white/rust '92 has the remaining pallet plopped down in the back of the bed (toolbox in the way), but the white '92 is only rated to carry about 1200 pounds while the red '99 is good for about 1500. I've had 1500 pounds in the red truck (partial pallet of pellets without the bed cover on) and it finally made it about 1" below level out back. I don't know if the last owners did anything to beef up the rear suspension (it looks stock) but I am impressed by this truck's capability for a mid-size!

Like SXR said, the 3.9 was fully capable of pulling the weight but stopping is a whole separate matter!!

I planted 160 trees in my yard. I has to water them. Next time ill use my trailer. Lucky I only had to drive two blocks from the water station to home. Pulled fine but I barely broke over an idle.

I had 30 bags of mulch in the back of mine once and it wasn't slow at all. It actually didn't notice it that much accleration wise. However the back was just barely off the stoppers, this was before I added springs tho. I was guessing it was about 900-1,100 lbs depending on how water soaked the mulch was.

Just hauled 1567 lbs of brick on the back of my reg cab about 5 kms.

Only a 1/4 off of the bump stops but she had no problems!

Default Leg day for Dakotas

Haha love it, recently hauled about +1900lb in mine with the original leaf springs and over 230,000 miles like it wasn't even there. Backed up a small hill with that load and didn't even touch the gas pedal. 318s forever!
*Edit*
It has the 4wd hubcaps but it's 2wd, I put them on there because they look good. It also has a Magnum intake cover but it's an LA lol

I hauled 25 bags of 80lb concrete a couple miles in my 99 dakota 5.2L 5 speed 4x4 extended pulled well with no issues. Stopping was my only concern.
