Help me keep birds of my truck

This is less a Dakota problem, and more of just a general issue, but I've seen you all here come up with great ideas on many topics and would rather take your input than someone in another forum.

My wife just got transferred at work to a building that has a lot of birds outside. They perch on the mirrors of employees cars all day and peck at the mirrors and crap on the doors. From what I understand, they think the bird in the mirror is moving in on their territory, and try to attack it. Her company has no interest in trying to get rids of the birds themselves, and since it's not our property, many deterrents are out of the question. Her boss just ties shopping bags on the mirrors, but that sounds like a pain in the ass and looks stupid. She just had knee surgery and would rather not have to walk around her truck before and after a long day on her feet to bend the mirrors in and back.

Any ideas? Have any of you had bird problems?

Rice. Lots of it.
Antifreeze.
Pellet gun.
110V wires on the mirrors. Plug the vehicle in when you get to work.

Haha! If it was at home, I'd get out the rice in a heartbeat. This is in a shopping center. Birds will just keep coming. I've seen online that some people tape photos of hawks or owls in their windows near the mirrors. Maybe a large sun shield for the windshield with an eagle on it would work? Or an owl hood ornament. I could always buy a falcon and train it to circle the parking lot, but then I'm charging all her coworkers for "insurance" too!

Would it be possible to install mirrors that bend in with electric? So you hit a button and the mirrors bend in themselves?

Haha, sorry Bruce! New job is no good. I just got laid off. Until I find a good one, she's the breadwinner. We may be getting good rid of the vehicle next year, it's kinda falling apart, so high priced after markets are out of the question, however, anything hat goes on her Durango can probably go on my Dakota. I've already got a small shopping list!
