My 44re needs overhauled but my local shops want to much. I found a 46re jasper with only 6000 miles on it for $700. I need some clarification on what I need for this swap. I know the torque converters are different. One is internally balanced the other external. Do I need a 46re torque converter? From my understanding only the torque converter, flex plate, dipstick are things that aren't interchangeable. Can someone clear this up for me in lamens terms please.
