2002 Dakota Club Cab, 8 cyl, 5 sp manual, 190k miles
OBD II Code P1686 "Manufacturer controlled computer and auxiliary output."
Google only comes up with a SKIM error. Does not appear to be a SKIM error here.
Any ideas out there?

P1686 - No SKIM BUS Messages Received

The description from Dodge is: No CCD/J1850 messages received from the Smart Key
Immobilizer Module (SKIM).

Does the truck have SKIM?

 

No SKIM on this vehicle.

 

Went to the local stealership in Garner who told me they will need 4 hours to determine exactly what the issue is. F-it. I'm gonna drive it as is till it dies. Then I'll know exactly what the problem is.
