Can you? Yes.

Can you do it on a budget? Only if you own your own junkyard.

Need the 4x4 trans, transfer case, front driveshaft, torsion crossmember, torsion bars, upper and lower A arms, spindles, and front axle assembly.

Only thing the same from the firewall forward between a 2WD and 4WD is the body, engine, and frame rail.

so with the mounts all i would have to do is get the ones for 4x4 and not have to modify them to fit for the 2wd.

You pretty much an entire donor truck to do this swap. There's alot that you have to change.

The front differential is supported by the motor mounts.

You'd also have to "flip" the rear axle.

I agree with Magnethead. You'd need a complete 2000 4x4 donor truck to do this. Earlier years won't have the engine mounts/suspension parts you need. Later years have an electronic t-case.

Translation ... sell the truck and buy a 4x4. It will be much cheaper, easier and probably more reliable.
