It seems to run pretty good, but it is missing a few parts. There's a metal tube/ hose running up the passenger side of the fire wall that's been cut. There's nothing around it to indicate where it goes or what it's for. Also the A/C hose were cut and many of the components seem to be missing. I was hoping to find a diagram or something that would outline all of the A/C systems parts and how it's assembled. I think I can handle the other missing stuff.

 

The metal tube is likely part of the a/c system.

You might check a boneyard out so you can get an idea of what's missing.

 

Yeah, I've tried wrecking yards, but mine has a standard transmission. That seems to be pretty rare. The ones I've found are automatics and they don't have that metal hose. I talked to a local man who owns a Dakota the same year as mine. He also doesn't have the metal hose. He thought it looked like it might be a vacuum line.
