hi im new here i have a 2000 dodge dakota slt 4x4 my transmission lines are bad the ones that come off the transmission. theres a hold down clamp by oil pan for the lines thats where the holes are, i cant find replacement lines all the dorman lines i see are for a 3.9l dakota i have a 4.7l i would rather not got to the dealer even if they would still have most likely it would cost an arm and a leg any info would be great thanks

 

Get yourself some nickel-copper line of the appropriate size, and bend your own.

there's a section of rubber line at the end that is a quick connect to the cooler line this one looks just like the line thats on there Dorman 624-821 Transmission Oil Line

 

According to theory, that should be correct.

 

this is my first Dakota but not my first mopar mostly but in the last 15 years i always bought jeep Cherokees the 4.0l runs forever. i got this Dakota at a really good price this is my first 4.7l though it runs like a champ i always thought the 3.9, 318, 360 used a different trans. then the 4.7 but i really dont know.

 

Ooops. Missed the 4.7 part. Then that likely is NOT the correct line. Though, I suspect they have one. Just need to dig a little deeper, or, give them a call.
