What the heck is this plug??!!
 

Can someone tell me what this plug is? It's on the frame under the air intake.

Forgot. 2000 Dakota 3.9

Some years had an AC pressure switch in that area (DAKAZ actually learned and shared this). It's definitely not for cruise control, as it uses a 4 way connector.

Actually I think its the port or plugin for an Ambient Air Temperature Sensor if your Dakota was an advanced package with the inside cab roof console they had a digital outside air temp readout/display.
