No heat/ac.

Got a 2004 4.7 v8 and out of nowhere, have no ac, heat, anything. First thought blower motor crapped out but still runs strong, resistor is still good, checked all fuses that I can think of and they're still good. Even swapped with others. Tried a new switch for fan speed/temperature/settings and I still have nothing coming out of my vents. Dunno wtf is going on. Worked one day then nothing. Maybe theres a fuse that's labeled as something else that could be fired. Tried ever one that says ac and whatnot. Any help is appreciated.

Blower motor receives power from the ignition switch RUN position, which receives power from fuse 13, 40 amp.

Blower motor is grounded through the resistor block network, which ultimately grounds via the fan speed controller.

Try jiggling the key to see if there is slop in the electrical ignition switch. If not there, you can check pin 10 of Connector 200 (driver fenderwell I believe) for a valid 12 volt signal (Red/Light Blue wire) or on the Dark Green wire going into the blower motor. You can also check ground continuity on the Dark Blue and Yellow wire at the blower motor.

So the fan is on you can hear it running you just don't get any air out the vents?

On my other Dakota it was the ignition module in the steering colum.Had burnt contacts ,common I hear.
This sends direct power to blower.

is it a quick, easy fix? And would I be able to tell right away if its that that's broke?

nothings running, even the ac light doesnt go on when I press the button. Seems like theres no power or something for those controls

It can be,takes a little bit to get it out but you'll see if its burnt after pulling the wide connector out..
