PCM cycling after battery disconnect?

Was wondering how many miles need to be driven after battery has been disconnected? Only 1 bank is clear, the other 2 say "not ready". I have no check engine lights etc for the past 1200 miles, and have driven approx 400 miles since the disconnect.

Thanks for any help.

The "drive cycle" a hard concept to understand because it has little consistency.

For my truck, a drive to the gas station then to the inspection station is enough to clear all my drive cycle needs. I don't know how or why. But then other people like you rack up hundreds of miles with no cleared cycle.

I know it requires a cold start and a hot start, fuel tank between 3/4 and 1/4, and that's where my knowledge stops.

you won't have any dtc as the monitor has to run and fail to set a dtc.
Post which monitors need to complete and which have run and passed/completed. With that info, I can find out drive cycle conditions you need to meet.

cat monitors won't run until the 02 monitors run and pass. evap monitor will not run if the temp is too cold...so in winter they give you a conditional pass with an incomplete evap monitor.

Thanks for the reply. It is saying "not ready to make a determination regarding the condition of the pollution control system" . I dont really have any more info unless I go back to mech for another try to see if the next bank has cleared. Sorry I dont know much about these trucks. Will try to post a pic of the extension i got.

Need to find out exactly which item is 'not ready'.

I use this to check ready status:

OK, so it says catalyst and O2S monitors are not ready.

The O2S monitor must set before the catalyst monitor will set.

P.S. The content filter here at DF is very aggressive. Having cusswords in your image names will not get you very far.

Yeah, and some of the words the forums determine to be 'cuss words'..... is really puzzling...... :D
