2000 Dodge Dakota Sport, Loss of power
 

The truck has a loss of mechanical power at random intervals, i have to pull over and turn the truck off and on again. We damn near replaced everything besides the interior and suspension. We put on a new head, rebuilt the transmission, replaced all sensors, new fuel injectors, brand new ecu, checked the cat and exhaust, new fuel pump, new alternator, and the list goes on. We're pretty much just throwing parts at it at this point.

Does anyone have any kind of advice or ideas what could be going on???

First advice - post this in the 2000 Dakota area, not the 1987-1996 area.

Second - Pick up a good ELM327-type OBDII/BlueTooth adapter for the car, and install Torque (Free if you're cheap, Pro if you don't mind the nominal price) on your Android device. Use that to datalog what's happening and see what's going through the ECU's "brain" when it does that.

What exactly are you doing and what is it doing when you have the problem? Like, getting on the interstate and it chugs, cruising and it misses, what are the symptoms? Loss of mechanical power can be so many things.
