6lug to 5lug swap
Don't know if I'm allowed to ask this, but has anyone done or know of anyone who has. I'd like to be pointed in the right direction.
I wanting to do to a 99 Dakota. thanks guys. |
Not sure if this is correct,,, but i read somewhere about someone using a 5 stud hub from mustang to convert the front. and the rear you could just find a spring under axle
with 5 lugs. im sure there is info out there |
Thank you.XSubaruJeepDude
By chance did you read that on a Dakota/Durango forum or a Jeep forum, I'm very interested.
if you can try and remember where. I'd be grateful. Thank you for your help. I'm going to try and see if I can find anything on what you described. |
One thing you can research ( aside from using adapters) is taking your hub to a machine shop and having the studs pressed out and having them machine out a 5 lug pattern in the hub. Would get a bit costly though.

A number of times someone wanted a 6 to 5 conversion but nothing ever came from it. If it was easy Im sure it would be available or show up on the forum but I've never seen it.

Thanks for your input 98DakAZ

This was the first one I saw back in early 2000. Thanks for the heads up on the video 🤓 |
