Nope. Part numbers change even within the same year. They reflect minor changes in the engine..... No way to tell if it isn't original, unless it was done at the dealer, then Dodge might have a record.

There is a datecode on the block. Not sure where it is on the OHV engines. On the pushrod engines, it's the very forward face of the cylinder bank (I want to say driver side). That's as close as you're going to get.
