Ive seen allot of issues with replacing the intermediate steering shaft and the wheel will only go back on crooked. I had the same issue and all I could find online was people saying to get an alignment. I just removed my steering wheel and then centered it with the clock spring cause that connection in toothed and the steering gear is keyed. hope this helps someone.
