Default Ramcharger 360

Hello my name is Doug and im a noobie. Well I Did afew searches on here and also on the net but I couldn't get an answer. So heres my problem I have a 1999 Dakota 4X4 V6 5speed and I love it. But i messed up the tranny and it has a crap load of miles on it. So i was thinkin bout doing a 360 swap. Now I have a 1983 4wd ramcharger that my friend gave me . Now im not worried bout gettin the engine to fit but I want to keep the auto tranny an crap . I was wounderin if that would fit or more less work. Im not afraid to cut and weld infact I love it.

Default RE: Ramcharger 360

The 360 will fit just fine, might need different motor mounts but the magnum 360 is one of the factory engines, so they're out there. I'd rebuild the 360 and get a bit more power out of it while it's not installed, stock compression is like 8.1:1, the heads kinda suck, the cam is pretty mild, etc.

It shouldn't be hard at all to get it in, but you might have some issues with your speedo/odo and other instruments since you won't have most of the sensors hooked up to anything.
