AIR INTAKES CHEAP, GIMMICK OR WHAT?
 

sup guys, im looking for a new intake for my dak and i see this on ebay, sure everything looks fine, but i wonder if anyone has actually bought this, any one got any opinions about it?

I have bought one like that but it was $25. It works well but the filter is pretty crappy. So I went out and got a K&N filter. Even going out and buying the K&N it still was cheaper then most other kits and works well for the money.

Well for one it does not replace the complete instake system just the tube and filter not the silencer which is half of what needs to be replaced, add the cheap air filter that I am sure does a crap job keeping the air clean and does not last like a perm Airaid or K&N filter next the "tube" is made of metal that will pick up more heat than something made of plastic or insulated and last of all it is not going to be pulling in cold air seeing it is just laying in the engine compartment sucking in hot air right by the fan off the radiatior so in short.......you get what you pay for....go with a complete kit from K&N or Airaid you will be much more satisfied in the end.

i bought the full k/n fipk for my 05 dak was only 219.00 on ebay that air intake for sale here is just a gimmick.looks like it belongs on a riding lawn mower
