Default Installing headers on 99 Dakota 4x4

How hard would it be to take off stock headersand bolt on new headers on a 5.2 with out having to go to a muffler shop to do it. Any tips or suggestions? The engine has about 94000 miles on it and the headers are not rusted, only forsurface rust.

it's easy, a little time consuming but easy... pull off the old manifolds, remove all of the studs on the head, then re-install the new manifold with the supplied bolts. I suggest you stud the end bolts on each head as they may go into a waterjacket in the head.

use a 2 nut method on each stud that your removing... tighten the 2 nuts together and remove the inner nut. stud should come right out. for extra peace of mind, soak the studs with liquid wrench or pb blaster 1st before removing them.

Definately let them soak overnight, it will make the project go much smoother.
