Default Easiest way to remove nameplates

I found this site http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=213824 (its down right now) and I saw that you can buy emblems, nameplates and pretty much any other replacent OEM part fairly cheap. Looks legit, but you never know. Anyway I was just curious if anyone knows the easiest/safest way to remove the old nameplates? Also, if anyone knows anything about that site, any input would be great. Thanks!

I took the SLT Dakota emblems off the doors because the chrome backing was discoloring.
Priced them out at 39 dollars a side! NOPE! Left them off and buffed out the doors due to the fact
the clear was slightly dis colored and, you could see where they once were even after I waxed them. I think it gives the truck a cleaner look
without them anyways. But yeah, a Hair-Dryer and they pulled right off for me/ W-D40 for the glue. I think the Dental-Floss is even a better idea with the Hair-Dryer in it probably would help in removing more of the backing & glue in one shot.

Hmmm a knife. I'm going to try that one. I'll let you know how it goes. I was actaully thinking of just using a belt sander and grinding them off. lol

Thanks for the input guys. Any word on that site I posted?

Have you tried it again recently? I had the same problem when I first posted, but it works fine now.
