Angry MIL light coming on WTF?

WTF? Had two transmission lines replaced at dealership that was jast thursday. Then two days later the MIL light comes on. Could it be that the dealership forgot to reset a sensor or do I have a new problem? Thanks for your help.

Thanks. Ran into buddy of mine that is a mechanic at a tech school. turns out a hose in the evap system had a split at both ends. Easy fix. just pissed me off that it happened two days after the dealer had it in for a maintence check

i'll be the first to tell you, they dont check everything. only the vitals on a truck (coolant hoses belt, plug wires, fluid levels, etc)

and then tell you things like 'you are low on blinker fluid and your muffler bearing is going out so that will be $850"

i hate dealing with slimeball mechanics. my grandmother payed 400 dollars for a squeaking pulley. i went to that mechanic and gave him a piece of my mind. there are a few people in this world you absolutely NEED to trust, people like your tax guy, doctor, mechanic, etc etc.

Around here I know that the mechanics at dealerships (and probably plenty of other places) get a "piece of the action" for repairs. In other words, the higher the repair bill, the higher their "commission". The incentive is to do more work and faster, but the results are often "rip-off" prices and poor quality. That's why factory warranty work is relegated to the end of the day or tomorrow. Very little extra money in it.
