making a bed canoe rack

this is on a ram with the stake pockets, but its a canoe rack.
somebody told me a dakota doesn't have the pockets. is that true ?

We have this for the ram only ours is just like a T very simple to make if you dont want to spend money but we got ours for 45.00 Even better this requires no cutting or drilling.

1st Gen does. I wonder if 3rd does?
I personally have bed rails with tie downs on top.
I never really seen the pockets used for anything, besides as a tie down. But using it is a slick way to mount up the canoe holder. Easily removable.

I'm betting 3rd Gen does Dodge got a little retarded with the 2nd Gen they removed the third door and brought it back for third gen
