My Gen 2 I picked up from a buddy for $250. 3.9l, 4x4, 5 speed. Torched bearing in the water pump and he thought the block was cracked from running water in the coolant (wasn't). Put the new pump in and the ignition coil from my '92 and she fired right up!!!
I definitely tested the 4x4 today.... lol it works. And for reference, I'm about 6'2"

Hello to the Dodge Forum
I just bought a 1998 Dakota SLT 3.9 with 140K from the original owner. He ordered it with the towing package, so it has a receiver hitch and the trans cooler installed. I bought it near Atlanta and drove it back home to Wisconsin a few days ago. This truck has no rust at all.. I'll have to take a few pics of the under carriage, because it looks like it's 3 years old. It has a few dings in the paint, but the interior is in fantastic shape and mechanically it's got no issues. He pretty much took care of every problem it had, as they popped up. I paid 3200 for the truck. He even gave me the original window sticker for it too!
This is my first Dodge product since owning a 1975 Dart back in the 80's, so I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can here.

My 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport
Hi there.
My name is Sebastian. I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport 5spd with a 3.9L V6 Magnum. Bought it earlier this year.
I've replaced the power steering pump on it already and put on an AC ByPass Pulley while I save up for another AC Compressor.
My first 5spd pickup in a little over 10 years, which was a 1985 Mazda B2000. Bought it from a car lot for only $2400 cash.
Runs great, aside from the 16mpg, lol. I'm loving it, though. Hoping to keep it for a very long time
We, also, have a 2008 Dodge Avenger. My wife bought it last year, and our daughter turned 16 this year, so, now it's hers. She likes it.

My Dad's 2000 Dakota
This is my Dad's 2000 Dakota SLT I inherited when he passed away 2 years ago. Great truck. You might notice the rear passenger side mud flap is missing. I bent the tailpipe and melted the original flap. That's the reason I signed up on this site - I need to make a post asking where to get a replacement. I've searched all over the web and can't find a set. Anyway, here it is.
