Default 2000 Dakota V6

I just got my moms Dakota for $1500 it has 265000 miles on it so i know it needs work but there is a sound coming from the engine at first i thought it was the belt tensioner because it looked and sounded like it was coming from that i replaced it and no change. The sound seems to get louder when the car is in drive and your pushing on the brake. Does anyone know what might be causing this rattling sound?
