Default Paranormal activity?LOL

Ok here's the deal. I was driving my '01 Dakota last night and noticed my dash and headlights flickering every few minutes. Then it got worse every 30 seconds or so. Finally it started really flickering every few seconds. Then my horn would spontaneously honk and the wipers would jump every once in a while. I had headed to home by this point and then I lost my headlights!!!! Drove the rest of the way home with my hazard light on. Pulled in the garage and shut her down. It would not start back up. Today I pulled the battery terminals and cleaned them, and she started right up. Test drove it with lights radio etc... on and had zero problems. Tonight it's doing the same thing all over again. I'm guessing PCM but is there anything else I should check first? Fuses, shorts etc?

I just had another thought. About a month ago I noticed that when I hit my key fob button to turn my alarm on that the heaadlights didn't blink as they should. I was meaning to get around to fixing it one of these days just never had the time. I'm wondering if this doesn't something to do with the problem. The horn and lights are tied into the alarm system. Just a thought. I'll check it out on the morning.

I found a broken wire and fixed it, now the lights flash when I turn on the alarm as they should. I drove the truck a few miles and everything seemed OK, thought I had found the problem. Turned into my drive way and the lights started blinking and the door dinger went off. Guess it isn't fixed!!!!

Guess I need to find the module suggested above.

Can I go to a junk yard and get one? School me on what I need to do.

Check this thread out. Sounds like you can just pick one up from a junkyard.

Edit:
The CTM should be in the drivers kick panel with 3 plugs on it. Just so you know what to look for.

Good luck

The wire that was broken was a wire to the alarm that was tied into a wire leading to the module in the above picture. Do you think that when the wire broke it did somethin to the module.

If I picked up the module from the junkyard would it have to be from the a truck with the same engine and year or would any of them work?

It would have to be from the same truck with all the same options power locks, windows and so on. Your keyless entry would need reprogrammed at the dealer for it to work
