Default Low Oil Pressure?

I recently replaced the oil pump and oil pressure sender and the oil pressure was up a little past the half way mark. For the fast oil change I used 10-w40 Valvoline NextGen and the oil pressure has been registering low but no valve noise. s the low oil pressure because of the oil or what?

Put a mechanical oil pressure gauge on the engine and tell us exactly what your pressures are.

The dash gauges are notoriously unreliable.

The specs are: 6 (yes SIX) psi MINIMUM at idle. At 3000 rpm between 30 and 80 psi. A general rule of thumb is 10 psi per 1000 rpm.

Ok. I'll do that when I get home. I read this over at Maverick/Comet Forums.
