So its been a lil since ive last posted on these forums, i came across an issue last week, i got pulled over because my brake lights are working improperly, ive changed bulbs with the same result, all my fuses are good

Im assuming its a wiring issue, but idk if theres a common issue on these trucks related to tail light issues...

I turn on the lights, the lights come on, the brake light when u hit the pedal, doesnt work, even hazards work, but not when i touch the brake pedal, the light on the P/S doesnt brighten or anything at all, just stays lit, this must have just happened recently, because i live in a VERY Strict area, in certain areas you cant even do 5mph over the speed limit, and in certain areas, you even get pulled over for not being white, (I am not a racist, not picking any race, just speaking from Experience) but if your anything but white, your automatically "Suspicious".....

So i need to get my light figured out because ive been pulled over twice now in less than a week, THEN my headlight went out due to it getting wet, but thats another issue in itself thats not too difficult to fix, just need another housing

i need to fix my dakota because i will be selling it in the next month or two, im buying a Jeep Comanche 4.0 5spd, the 2.5 isnt enough power for me, and the comanche is gonn be at a price i cant refuse

Thumbs up

Good luck with the Jeep Comanche 4.0 5 spd. yea the 2.5 is no powerhouse that's for sure. I want to get newer Dakota around a 2006 to 09 with either the 3.7 or 4.7 as this time I want more cab room not a standard cab not sure on a stick or auto an auto may suit me better as I'm almost 60.

This morning i decided to check my dakota for codes, as i am running a 99 cluster with a Tach, the CEL is Always on due to some unknown compatibility issue between the 98 and 99 models

so i was thrown my usual P0420, since i just cut my exhaust pipe, i am convinced my cat is hollowed out

But then a P1682 Code appeared, and the code reads as follows, and im rather confused

P1682 Charging System Voltage Too Low

Seeing as i use my truck EVERYDAY and intend on keeping it as my work truck for years to come, i am finally at the point where i need to change the ball joints, control arm bushings and shocks, i already have the control arms with red bushings installed, i am going to order some ball joints, going to order moog ball joints from rock auto and i need shocks, but i dont have any idea what to get, cheap ones are $20-30, going to look into what i should use, i also got fenders and a grill, im going to get a bed and repaint my truck
