Default Generic CAI Question.

Hey all. I was thinking about doing some small mods to my truck. I have a 2000 Dakota Quad Cab V6. I was curious as to whether or not an entire CAI system is really worth it on the magnum since it's already a CAI, or if it would be just as beneficial to just to a K&N filter in there and call it a day. Also, I'm going to throw some dual exhaust on it, any suggestions? Thanks again!

EDIT: I've also read that putting a Throttle Body from a V8 magnum vehicle of similar generation (96 or newer) is a cheap way to boost performance. If anyone has any info on that, I would also be very interested.

No CAI, just the filter is my recommendation. It is what I have, and you'll save yourself some $$$

If you're talking a dual cat back, my vote is don't. Single pipe is cheaper, gives you more gains, you keep your spare tire and sounds louder. Also, don't go gibson, their exhausts suck. I currently have a gibson dual exhaust I'm trying to get rid of

Thanks for the comment, but I'm no expert.

I'm not a fan of the K&N filters. I do think you can gain a bit with the TB swap though.

Sorry, I speed read this early in the morning. Yep, I second DakDan's thought on the throttle body upgrade. While with the 3.9 it won't make a huge difference, it should be noticeable.
