Default 2wd Dakota Suspension Lift

Hi, I had a question for anyone that might know... I have a 2001 2wd Dodge Dakota Extended Cab that I want to lift (suspension)... Not just for the looks but to fit bigger tires too. I want to go 4" in the back and 5" in the front. My question pertains to lifting the front of my truck, is it possible to put a 3 inch longer coil spring and add a 2 inch leveling kit to meet the 5 inches without having any issues?

Your ball joints say "no".

What's the reason? Would it wear them down quicker?

The front geometry does not physically support more than 2" of coil spacers over stock. I put V8 springs in my V6 to gain an inch and that was noticeable. Any more than that and it starts stressing the ball joints. There comes a point where SAS or body lift must be considered.

i have been apart of a build where we put Toyota spindles on a Chevy Silverado Long Travel front Kit. Now in my opinion i believe they will bolt up to our trucks (2wd Dodge Dakotas) as well. The Chevy kit had a Uniball set up instead of ball joint, but i was thinking that Toyota spindles should bolt right up to stock ball joints. all you need to get are Toyota Calipers and hubs, which you could get at a yard for cheap, and different rims or conversion wheel spacers (which we used on the Chevy).
answer me this please.
Or putting dodge ram spindles on....oh the possibilities
