Default 2002 Dodge Dakota

I have recently swapped out the 4.7 engine in my 2002 Dodge Dakota and I am having troubles trying to get it started. I took the original engine out Vin; 1B7HL38N82S520692 and replaced it with what I was told is a 4.7 out of a 2002 Durango Vin: 1D4HS58N33F518330. I was told if I replaced the engine with another "N" coded engine it would be a plug and play. I swapped out both the cam and crank shaft positioning sensors, and it spits and sputters like the timing is 180 degrees out. I'm pretty frustrated and I was wondering if this engine is compatible? Everything matched up, and plugged right in common to the original connections. I could sure use some help here.

Thanks
joe

I came across the same issue. Turns out the used engine was a split year and it had a 32 tooth count on the crank and not the 16 count which is what my original engine had.
Went to the boneyard and talked to the guy that I dealt him with and we found the donor vehicle. It had 4 connections on the PCM and not 3 like mine. It makes a BIG difference when you are swapping engines to know this info.
